“Everybody is unique. Compare not yourself with anybody else lest you spoil God’s curriculum” Baal Shem Tov

Being active is am important aspect of weight loss, and is essential for good health. Being active does not mean hard out exercise. This page will give you some ideas about how to increase your general activity levels, as well as some fitness and exercise ideas.

  • Be active for at least 30 minutes each day. This could be walking, cleaning the house, playing with the kids. It is anything that is going to lift your heart rate a little and make you feel warm.
  • Take the chance to squeeze in more activity each day by walking down the office to talk to your work mate instead of e-mailing or calling.

  • If you want to join a gym, find out what they have to offer before you sign up. How will they assist you to reach your goals, do they have the space, equipment and machine availability you are looking for? How helpful are their staff, or do they expect you to get a personal trainer?
